The College of Media at the University of Baghdad welcomed the Head of the Iraqi Media Network, Professor Kareem Hammadi, during an official visit that included discussions on avenues for collaboration between the college and the network. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ammar Tahir Mohammed.

Professor Kareem Hammadi’s visit coincided with his participation in the discussion of a high diploma research project conducted by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, which was held at the college premises.

During the meeting, the Head of the Iraqi Media Network praised the constructive partnership between the network and the college. He emphasized that this collaboration has enhanced students’ expertise through training programs and practical workshops provided by the network, contributing to the preparation of media professionals capable of tackling the challenges of the profession.

In turn, the Dean of the College of Media, Professor Dr. Ammar Tahir Mohammed, expressed his pride in this fruitful partnership, reiterating the college’s commitment to fostering strong ties with national media institutions to enhance the practical learning experience for media students. As part of the celebration of this visit, the Dean presented the college’s shield and a commemorative gift to Professor Kareem Hammadi in recognition of his efforts in supporting education and training in the field of media.

This meeting represents an additional step towards strengthening collaboration between the two entities, contributing to the advancement of media practices in Iraq and the preparation of media professionals equipped with both academic knowledge and practical experience to keep pace with rapid developments in the field. This visit aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 17, which advocates for partnerships to achieve shared objectives.
