The College of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled “Cybersecurity and Information Security,” under the sponsorship of Dr. Mudad Ajeel Hassan, Dean of the College, and attended by several students and faculty members from the Music Department.
The workshop aimed to clarify the distinction between cybersecurity and information security, emphasizing the importance of protecting sensitive personal, financial, governmental, and corporate data, while fostering trust in digital systems.
The discussions covered topics such as safeguarding data against hacking, methods to defend and protect information, and various related themes including cyber threats, sabotage, espionage, penetration techniques, and the fundamental pillars of information security.
This workshop aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 16, which promotes peace, justice, and effective institutions.
