The Central Scientific Promotions Committee at the University of Baghdad held its regular meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohsen Al-Shammari and attended by all committee members, to discuss the scientific promotion applications submitted by faculty members from the University’s various constituent bodies.
During the meeting, the committee discussed 41 scientific promotion applications across a variety of scientific and humanities disciplines. These comprised 11 applications for promotion to the rank of Professor, 23 to the rank of Assistant Professor, and 7 to the rank of Lecturer.
The committee conducted a careful review and evaluation of the applications, based on the prevailing regulations and conditions governing scientific promotions, in addition to verifying the credibility of the accredited scientific journals in which the submitted research and scholarly output were published.
This activity supports one of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal Four, which calls for quality education.
