As part of the ongoing preparations for Iraqi Academics Day, the University of Baghdad held a joint meeting with the Iraqi Academics Syndicate to discuss the final details of the upcoming central celebration planned for this occasion.

The meeting was chaired by Prof.Dr. Ameer Faisal Abdul Ameer, Assistant President for Administrative Affairs of the University of Baghdad, and Dr. Ali Maseer Yassin, President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate. Attended by a number of officials involved in organizing the event, the meeting reviewed the key themes and proposed agenda of the celebration, in addition to addressing organizational and logistical matters to ensure the event’s success. Prof.Dr. Ameer emphasized the University of Baghdad’s commitment to supporting initiatives that highlight the role of academics and enhance their standing in society, noting the importance of sustained collaboration with the Iraqi Academics Syndicate to achieve shared goals.

For his part, Dr. Ali Maseer Yassin expressed his appreciation for the University of Baghdad’s support for academics, affirming that Iraqi Academics Day presents an important opportunity to honor scientific talent and spotlight their contributions across various fields.

The central celebration is scheduled to take place at the University of Baghdad in the Martyr Al-Hakim Hall on Thursday, April 10, with the participation of prominent academic figures and representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

This initiative contributes to the realization of Sustainable Development Goal 17, which calls for partnerships to achieve the goals.
