The National Center for Population and Demographic Studies hosted a delegation from the Iraqi Federal Public Service Council, led by Mr. Sameer Younis Ailan, the Director General of the Administrative Development Department.
The meeting aimed to discuss the mechanisms for employment and career development for graduates of the University of Baghdad and to enhance collaboration between both parties. Representatives from the council reviewed the adopted policies for government appointments, mechanisms for providing job opportunities for graduates, and ways to improve educational and training programs to align with labor market requirements. They also emphasized the importance of collaboration with the Center for Population and Demographic Studies at the University of Baghdad, highlighting its role in providing essential data for graduate statistics and facilitating their integration into the labor market.
Dr. Nasir Shamil Salman, the center’s director, underscored the importance of continuous cooperation to ensure that university outputs align with the actual needs of governmental institutions and to prepare qualified personnel capable of meeting the country’s sustainable development goals.
This visit falls under Sustainable Development Goal 17, which aims to strengthen implementation methods and foster partnerships to achieve sustainable development objectives.
