The University of Baghdad Presidency team achieved a resounding 8–2 victory over the College of Mass Communication team, as part of the Ramadan Championship for the university staff, aimed at strengthening social and athletic ties among the university’s members.

The match featured outstanding performances from several faculty members. Prof.Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, Dean of the College of Science, scored two goals; Dr. Ali Abdul Hassan also netted two goals; Dr. Ali Sadiq added another two goals; while Dr. Sarmad and Professor Latif each scored one goal, leading the presidency team to a well-deserved win.

Following a series of intense matches, several teams have qualified for the next stage of the tournament: the Presidency of the University of Baghdad and the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences from the Jadriya campus; the College of Languages and the College of Arts from the Bab Al-Muadham campus; and the College of Nursing and the College of Medicine.

The championship continues in a spirit of healthy competition and positive engagement, fostering stronger academic and social bonds among staff members across the university’s various campuses and faculties.

This activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages and Goal 17, which emphasizes partnerships for the achievement of these goals.
