The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled “Fundamentals of Publishing in Reputable Journals: The College of Medicine Journal as a Model,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Zaidoun Hassan Jabbar from the college.
The workshop targeted college members and postgraduate students, addressing the citeria for reputable journals and how to verify them using approved websites. It also included a practical demonstration of the registration process on the College of Medicine’s website, the steps to upload research papers, and an overview of electronic platforms associated with reputable publishers to assist researchers in selecting the appropriate journals.
This initiative is part of a series of workshops organized by the college to encourage researchers toward high-quality academic publishing. It also aims to guide them in identifying trusted journals while regularly updating them on predatory and commercial journals.
This workshop aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically the fourth goal, which advocates for quality education.
