The Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad held its Fifth Scientific Conference for Postgraduate Students at the Al-Salam Theater in the College of Media. The conference, under the theme *”The Role of Scientific Research in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals: Between the Challenges of Reality and the Ambitions of the Future,”* was attended by the University’s Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul-Amir, and the Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajeel Al-Maamouri, Dean of the Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, alongside a distinguished group of faculty members and specialists in the field.
The conference aimed to enhance the role of scientific research in achieving sustainable development by providing a platform for knowledge exchange between postgraduate students and various institutions. It also sought to encourage collaboration and partnerships between academic institutions and both public and private sectors by merging scientific and practical aspects.
The conference addressed the most pressing challenges facing society, highlighting innovations and modern technologies that could contribute to effective solutions. It also guided researchers towards producing scientific studies that meet future needs.
