The College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad participated in the 6th International Scientific Conference held at Al-Mustansiriyah University in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy at the American University of Baghdad. The conference, titled “Software and Modern Technologies in Pharmaceutical Research,” was attended by the President of Al-Mustansiriyah University, Professor Dr. Hamid Fadhil Al-Tamimi, and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustansiriyah University, Professor Dr. Mundher Faisal Mehdi.
The conference commenced with an opening speech by Dr. Michael Mulkinis, President of the American University of Baghdad, who commended the academic relations with Al-Mustansiriyah University and praised the achievements of the College of Pharmacy.
Professor Dr. Hamid Fadhil Al-Tamimi, President of Al-Mustansiriyah University, highlighted the significance of scientific collaboration with the American University and the role of the conference in advancing pharmaceutical research. Additionally, Professor Dr. Mundher Faisal Mehdi, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustansiriyah University, reviewed the 2024 accomplishments of the College, including its attainment of unconditional academic accreditation and securing the top position in the national ranking of pharmacy colleges in Iraq.
The conference aimed at keeping pace with advancements in pharmaceutical research and enhancing research methods through modern software and technologies. Academics and researchers from various countries participated in the event.
This initiative aligns with one of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically the fourth goal, which emphasizes quality education.
