The 38th Annual Festival of the Department of Art Education at the College of Fine Arts, University of Baghdad, commenced with the attendance of the College Dean, Dr. Mudad Ajeel Al-Asadi, alongside an elite group of artists, academics, and art enthusiasts.
The festival featured a diverse exhibition of students’ artistic creations, showcasing their unique visions and varied interests. The displayed works included paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, graphic design, theatrical performances, and more.
On this occasion, Dr. Kareem Hawas, Head of the Art Education Department, emphasized the festival’s importance in supporting and encouraging creative students and highlighting their artistic talents and abilities. He noted that the festival provides an opportunity for students to express themselves, present their works to the public, and engage with fellow artists and academics.
Meanwhile, the College Dean expressed his pride and admiration for the students and the exceptional quality of the work displayed. He affirmed the College’s commitment to creating an environment that nurtures students’ talents and abilities, offering them the support needed to achieve their aspirations.
This festival aligns with one of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically the fourth goal, which emphasizes quality education.
