The Department of Media and Government Communication at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Baghdad, has organized a comprehensive training course on first aid, under the patronage of the College Dean, Professor Dr. Naama Dahesh Farhan, in a pioneering initiative.

This course underscored the importance of equipping students and staff with the necessary skills to handle emergencies, demonstrating the College’s dedication to ensuring the safety of its members and creating a secure and healthy environment for all.

The course included both theoretical lectures and practical applications, ensuring that participants gained a thorough understanding of first-aid techniques and how to respond to various emergencies, such as wounds, burns, fractures, choking, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Participants engaged in hands-on training, practicing first aid procedures for different cases under the supervision of a distinguished team of doctors and specialists, including Dr. Haidar Jassem Hamid, Dr. Shaimaa Maki Sadiq, pharmacist Ban Ahmed Mohammed, and pharmacist Hussain Abdul-Abbas Hussain.

This initiative aligns with one of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically the third goal, which advocates for ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all, at all ages.
