The Dormitory Department at the University of Baghdad organized the Stars Championship, a five-a-side football tournament, held at the Al-Salam Student Housing Complex Stadium. The match featured a competition between Al-Ittihad and Hasaba teams, under the patronage of the University President, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, and the supervision of Assist.Prof.Dr. Mohammed Abdul Kareem, Director of the Dormitory Affairs Department.
The tournament’s opening ceremony was attended by Ms. Shaimaa Ghazi Younis, Head of the Social Research Division; Assist.Prof.Dr. Ali Tariq Jassim, Head of the Student Guidance Unit; and Lecturer Barzan Jabbar Mohammed, Head of the Activities Unit. The match concluded with Al-Ittihad clinching victory with a score of 3-2 against Hasaba.
The event was marked by a vibrant and festive atmosphere, with enthusiastic cheers from spectators and the spirited performance of the players. Participants expressed their appreciation for the university administration’s commitment to organizing engaging extracurricular activities.
