The Microbiology Branch at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a scientific course on tissue transplantation techniques, in which Prof. Dr. Huda Saadoun Jassim and lecturer Dr. Nasr Tariq Muhammad lectured.
The course aimed to enhance the scientific and practical skills of students and researchers in the field of tissue culture and immunology techniques. Tissue culture techniques are advanced techniques that aim to replace or improve damaged tissue using innovative techniques based on three basic elements of living cells. Scaffolds. The most prominent of these technologies is stem cell bioscaffolding nanotechnology.
The lecturers also touched on the applications adopted in tissue transplantation, including skin transplantation to treat burns, bone and tooth restoration, repair of damaged blood vessels, and other applications.
The body’s immunity, which greatly interferes with tissue transplant techniques, was also highlighted, which is a major challenge to ensure the success of tissue transplantation, as this course represents an important step in promoting scientific research and developing practical skills in the field of tissue transplantation.
This session achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by Title XV, which calls for life on earth.
