The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad renewed a cooperation agreement with the Media Department at the College of Arts at Al-Amin University, with the aim of enhancing academic cooperation and developing curricula, the signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Dean of the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher Muhammad, and the Head of the Media Department at the College of Arts at Al-Amin University, Assistant Professor Dr. Ansif Jassim.
This cooperation aimed to update the curricula in line with modern developments in the field of media, provide rich scientific content for students, as well as refine their practical skills, and qualify them for the labor market, the agreement includes several main axes, most notably the development of study plans and vocabulary, the exchange of books and academic resources, the establishment of joint training workshops, cooperation in summer training programs, as well as cooperation and promotion in the field of e-learning.
Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed expressed his happiness with the signing of this agreement, stressing that it comes within the framework of the college’s strategy to strengthen partnerships with national academic institutions, which contributes to the development of media education in Iraq.
For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Ansif Jassim pointed to “the importance of this cooperation in exchanging experiences and raising the scientific and knowledge level of media students in the two universities.”
This step comes in the implementation of the directives of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which encourages the conclusion of cooperation agreements between public and private universities with the aim of improving the educational and research process in the country.
This agreement achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth and seventeenth goals, which call for quality education as well as partnership to achieve the goals.
