The Educational Guidance and Guidance Unit at the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific symposium entitled “Economic and Political Factors in Shaping Public Opinion”, presented by Assistant Lecturer Ghufran Ali Mutlak, in the presence of a number of professors and college students.

The seminar aimed to shed light on the impact of economic and political factors on public opinion trends, and the role of the media in transmitting and analyzing these factors and their impact on community awareness and trends.

During her speech, the lecturer stressed the importance of media awareness in understanding and analyzing the factors affecting the formation of public opinion and called for “promoting scientific research in this field to keep pace with the rapid developments in the media and political scene.”

At the end of the seminar, the floor was opened for discussion, as the seminar witnessed a distinguished interaction from students who raised questions about the role of the media in shaping public opinion in light of the current economic and political changes.

This symposium achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the sixteenth goal, which calls for peace, justice, and strong institutions.
