The Department of International Community Research at the Women’s Studies Center, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific symposium titled “Peaceful Coexistence and Its Impact on Political and International Stability.”
The keynote speaker, Assist.Prof.Dr. Sinan Salah Rashid, Head of the International Community Research Department, presented a paper on “The International Community and Political and International Stability.”
Additionally, Assistant Lecturer Zeinab Mohammed Khalaf, also a faculty member in the department, discussed “The Conceptual Framework of Peaceful Coexistence and Its Impact on the Stability of the Political System.”
The symposium concluded with several key recommendations, including: Reforming laws to ensure justice and equality, fostering national dialogue, and promoting mutual understanding among different societal groups.Reducing economic disparities and achieving social justice. Combating hate speech and extremism to strengthen peaceful coexistence among all components of society.
This symposium aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG 16), which advocates for peace, justice, and strong institutions.
