Maryam Salah, a student from the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, achieved a remarkable sporting feat by securing first place in the Badminton Championship for Female Students of Baghdad University. The tournament was held at the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences as part of the annual curriculum for the second semester.

A fourth-year student, Maryam Salah successfully defended her championship title for the fourth consecutive year, outperforming competitors from 22 participating colleges. Her victory highlights her exceptional skills and consistent athletic excellence.

Prof.Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed, Dean of the College of Mass Communication, praised this achievement, stating:
“Maryam Salah is a role model for students who balance academic excellence with athletic success. Her victory reflects the college’s commitment to supporting young talents in various fields.”

This accomplishment adds to the legacy of sports excellence at the University of Baghdad, which continually strives to promote student activities and foster a spirit of competition among its students.
