In the presence of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, and as part of the final rounds of the Iraqi Universities Volleyball Championship, the University of Baghdad men’s team advanced to the championship final by defeating the University of Anbar with a score of (3-0). They will face the University of Mosul in the final match.
Similarly, the University of Baghdad women’s team also qualified for the championship final and will compete against the University of Hamdaniya. The tournament is being hosted by Al-Farahidi University.
This championship has contributed to achieving several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), which emphasize ensuring a healthy life, fostering innovation and infrastructure, and promoting partnerships to achieve these objectives.
