The University Health Division at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, organized an awareness campaign for the early detection of breast cancer, under the guidance of the Research and Development Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, targeting a number of university employees and students.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer and provide the necessary tests to detect it in its early stages, which increases the chances of recovery.
The campaign included the definition of the disease and the possibility of eliminating it through early examination and the mechanism of self-examination that eliminates the disease in its early stages, while cards were distributed for referral to hospitals for examination.
The University Health Division called on all students and employees to participate in the campaign and benefit from the services it provides, stressing the importance of early detection in saving women’s lives, as this activity comes in conjunction with the Third National Plan for Women, Security, and Peace, the pillar of recovery. It is one of the many activities carried out by the University Health Division to preserve women’s health and thus preserve the health of the family and society.
