The University of Baghdad received a high-level Yemeni delegation, which included the Yemeni Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Iraq, Al-Khader Ahmed Marmash, and their accompanying delegation, where the visit aimed to enhance academic and scientific cooperation between educational institutions in Iraq and Yemen.
During the visit, the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, gave a detailed explanation of the depth of the academic partnership between the two countries and the number of Yemeni students studying at the University of Baghdad within the “Study in Iraq” initiative, as well as discussing the possibility of signing cooperation agreements that include the exchange of professors and students, and the establishment of joint research projects.
In the meeting, the President of the University of Baghdad stressed the importance of strengthening scientific relations with Yemeni universities, pointing out that the university is ready to support academic exchange programs and provide its expertise in various fields.
For his part, the Yemeni Minister of Higher Education, while attending the session of the Council of the University of Baghdad, praised the ancient scientific status of the University of Baghdad, expressing his aspiration to deepen cooperation to serve the development of higher education in the two brotherly countries.
