The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad held a ceremony for the recitation of the medical oath for its 93rd graduating class (Class of Knowledge and Progress). The event was attended by Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University of Baghdad, along with Prof.Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, Assisstant President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ameer Faisal Abdul Ameer, Assisstant President for Administrative Affairs, and Prof.Dr. Ameen Abdul Hassan Manaa Al-Alwani, Dean of the College, in addition to several deans from other university faculties and prominent academic and scientific figures.
In a speech, the University President congratulated the graduates on completing their medical studies at this prestigious institution, emphasizing the humanitarian service they will provide in their medical careers. He praised their determination, perseverance, and competitive spirit, which led to their remarkable success. He also commended the faculty members for their exceptional dedication and contributions, stating that without their efforts, this achievement would not have been possible. He further highlighted the university’s ongoing commitment to enhancing medical education and advancing academic excellence.
Dean Dr. Al-Alwani also congratulated the graduates, underscoring the ethical and humanitarian responsibilities of the medical profession. He commended the scientific departments and faculty members for their dedication in updating curricula and for the college’s attainment of full program accreditation. He stressed the importance of continuous learning, professional development, and commitment to medical ethics to enhance students’ scientific capabilities and uphold the honor of the profession.
The ceremony concluded with the graduates reciting the medical oath, pledging to serve patients with dedication and integrity. The graduates expressed joy and pride in their achievement, affirming their commitment to serving their country and improving healthcare standards in Iraq.
