The College of Pharmacy participated in a photographic exhibition titled “The Ba’ath and ISIS: Two Faces of the Same Criminal,” organized by the Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad in collaboration with the Martyrs Foundation.

The exhibition shed light on the victims of terrorism perpetrated by the Ba’ath Party militias and ISIS militants against the Iraqi people. It was inaugurated by Prof.Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, in the presence of Dr. Ali Sadiq Thiab, Director of the Student Activities Department, alongside several academic and social figures.

The event featured a collection of photographs and documents narrating the suffering of the Iraqi people during this dark period. Some images also emphasized the importance of national unity and the necessity of remembering these sacrifices to prevent history from repeating itself.

The exhibition paid tribute to the heroic resilience of Iraqis in their fight against terrorism, highlighting that such events serve as both a tribute to the martyrs’ sacrifices and an awareness message for future generations. The event received significant engagement from attendees, who stressed the importance of continuing such activities to document Iraq’s history and strengthen national solidarity.
