The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop entitled “Minority Issues and Respect for Human Rights”, in which Assistant Professor Dr. Anaam Abdul Reda and Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Abdul Hadi lectured, with the participation of professors from the Department of Public Relations, and in the presence of a group of college students and faculty members.

The workshop aimed to demonstrate the importance of promoting a culture of respect for human rights within societies, with a focus on minority issues and the role of the media in spreading awareness of these rights and promoting the principle of peaceful coexistence.

For his part, Dr. Hassan Abdulhadi reviewed the legal and international aspects related to the protection of minority rights, noting that “the media is an effective means of conveying minority issues and highlighting the challenges they face, thus contributing to achieving justice and equality.”

It should be noted that this workshop comes within the framework of the college’s endeavor to enhance awareness of human rights issues and the role of the media in achieving community development and consolidating the values of justice and equality.
