The President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Ansaf, accompanied by the Director of the Dormitory Departments, Dr. Muhammad Bahjat Abdul Karim, inaugurated the new building of the Directorate of Dormitory Departments after carrying out maintenance, restoration, and furnishing work, in a step towards providing an ideal study environment for its students.
The President of the University stressed the importance of this project in improving the level of services provided to students and enhancing the learning and scientific research environment at the university, praising the role of engineering staff in rehabilitating the building and making it a comfortable and suitable environment for students residing in the dormitory departments.

The President of the University stressed the importance of this project in improving the level of services provided to students and enhancing the learning and scientific research environment at the university, praising the role of engineering staff in rehabilitating the building and making it a comfortable and suitable environment for students residing in the internal departments.
The directorate consists of several housing complexes distributed over areas in Baghdad, with four housing complexes for female students and the same for students with a capacity of up to 6,000 students furnished and equipped with all needs that provide them with comfort during their stay and studies at the university.
It is noteworthy that the building of the dormitory departments was opened by the efforts of the engineering unit in the directorate after it was abandoned for a long time, as well as the opening of the reading hall for female students, which has many books and scientific and humanitarian resources.
