The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad celebrated the International Day of Philosophy in the presence of a group of professors, researchers, and students, under the patronage of the College’s dean, Prof. Dr. Nima Dahsh Farhan.
The celebration program included various events and intellectual performances, starting with Quranic readings and standing in honor of the national anthem. This was followed by welcoming speeches from the ceremony organizers, who represented the importance of philosophy and its role in shaping human awareness and building civilizations.
The ceremony also included a philosophical competition between students of the third and fourth stages, as well as an exhibition of philosophical books that included critical views of the theories of peace and the epistemological foundations on which the concept of peace is based.
