The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad held a training workshop for spokespersons of state ministries in cooperation with the government media team in the Prime Minister’s Office, and in the presence of media directors and spokespersons for state ministries, and Mr. Adnan Al-Arabi, Deputy Head of the Electronic Communication Team and Dean of the College of Mass Communication, Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher Muhammad.

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of enhancing the capabilities of official spokespersons in ministries and government institutions to develop media communication skills and interact with the public professionally, and its main themes included improving public speaking skills, managing media crises, building strategic relationships with various media outlets, in addition to formulating effective and effective messages that are clear and persuasive.

It also pointed out the importance of overcoming public speaking fears, enhancing self-confidence when facing the media or crowds, and using these skills to improve the image of government institutions and present them positively.

The floor was opened for discussion, where participants exchanged views and ideas on ways to improve official media performance, and practical proposals were presented to develop similar programs in the future, where the workshop was widely praised for its valuable information and fruitful discussions, all of which stressed the importance of achieving a balance between the interest of government institutions and meeting the needs of the public.
