The College of Arts at the University of Baghdad participated in the competition of Iraqi university students to recite and memorize the Holy Quran, under the slogan: (Representing Iraq is an honor for all) attended by a number of religious and academic figures. The participation of the College of Arts came through the teacher Dr. Adel Shaker Ham Al-Ziyadi, a teacher in the Department of Archeology, as a referee for sound, and a group of Iraqi university students competed in this competition. The Quranic competition aimed to increase Quranic awareness and its missionary objectives among university youth who are aware of the cause of their nation and people and create a spirit of Quranic competition among the readers of the Holy Quran and its preservation from Iraqi university students.
16 reciters and memorizers of the Holy Quran from various Iraqi universities were also nominated to compete for the first places qualified to participate in international Quranic competitions, according to invitations addressed to Iraq through the National Center for Quranic Sciences.
At the end of the competition, certificates and shields were distributed to the winners and the judging, administrative, media, and organizational committees. One of the most important results of this competition is the representation of Iraq in international competitions from the holders of advanced positions in this national competition for the recitation and memorization of the Holy Quran.
