The College of Arts at the University of Baghdad organized a lecture titled “The Expansion of the Hadley Cell and Its Impact on Temperature and Rainfall in Iraq.” The lecture was delivered by Assist.Prof.Dr. Hussein Jabir Wasmi from the Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems.
The lecture aimed to explore the extent of the Hadley Cell’s expansion over the past twenty years and its effects on temperature. This event was part of the third cultural season in Egypt, where the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, under the “New Initiative for Human Development,” has been hosting a series of lectures on climate and sustainable development.
The lecture concluded with recommendations emphasizing the need for scientific and cultural collaboration between Iraqi General Authority for Meteorology and Seismology and Egypt General Authority for Meteorology and Seismology
