The Department of Dormitories at the Presidency of University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the College of Nursing, held a health awareness symposium titled “Early Detection of Breast Cancer” and launched a campaign for early screening and prevention of the disease, which has recently become increasingly common among women.
The event covered the main causes and symptoms of the disease, preventive measures, and the methods for self-examination at home. Participants were encouraged to raise awareness and educate the female students residing in the dormitories. The lecture was well-received and appreciated by all attendees.
This activity was held under the patronage of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, with supervision by the Director of the Department of Dormitories, Dr. Mohamed Bahjat Abdel Karim, and attended by a number of female staff and faculty members.
