The Department of Internal Audit and Control at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, held a training workshop titled “The Structure of Preparing Oversight Reports and the Requirements for Their Preparation,” with the participation of a number of accountants, auditors, and professionals working in the fields of audit and oversight.
The workshop was delivered by Hadeel Khalil Shalan, Head of the Administrative Oversight Division, Assistant Lecturer Sara Abdulsalam Marei, and Assistant Lecturer Ghufran Ahmed Mohammed. It addressed a number of topics related to the foundations of preparing oversight reports according to a precise and well-organized methodology.
The workshop aimed to develop the knowledge and skills of accountants, auditors, and professionals working in financial and administrative audit and oversight, and to strengthen their capabilities in preparing oversight reports in line with the approved professional requirements and standards.
The workshop recommended raising the level of professional performance in the fields of audit and oversight, thereby contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of oversight reports and enhancing their role in identifying observations, pinpointing areas of deficiency, and proposing appropriate recommendations that support the improvement of institutional performance.
This activity contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, namely Goal 16, which calls for peace, justice, and strong institutions, in addition to Goal 17, which relates to partnerships for the goals.
