The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad organized a humanitarian initiative to support people with cerebral palsy through various activities in the presence of the University of Baghdad’s president, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, and the College’s Dean, Prof. Dr. Amin Abdul Hassan Al-Alwani.
The initiative, launched by the College of Medicine, aims to provide medical and academic assistance through a variety of services to support the segment of people with cerebral palsy, which includes the provision of specialized medical equipment and tools, assistive communication devices, physiotherapy tools, and the provision of assistive treatment in improving the health status of the injured.
The President of the University of Baghdad expressed his happiness with these efforts, which can play a major role in improving the lives of people with cerebral palsy and facilitate the process of their integration into the academic community better, pointing out that the university is working to provide special study seats for people with this type of health problems to provide them with appropriate educational support.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Amin Al-Alwani, said that the College is working seriously in cooperation with humanitarian institutions to provide all kinds of medical and material support to support these cases, pointing out that the College is working to train the families of the injured on how to deal with people with cerebral palsy, provide the necessary care, and qualify specialized medical staff to deal with these cases.
