The President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, honored the volleyball team for winning first place in the National Universities Championship, which was held by the Student Activities Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research at the University of Basra, with the participation of 40 teams from public and private universities in Iraq.
The tournament witnessed the crowning of the University of Baghdad team with the National Universities Cup, as well as receiving a number of medals, and the selection of Hussein Haider Maatouk as the best nightmare in the tournament.
The President of the University congratulated the volleyball team for its outstanding performance in the tournament, indicating that they deserved to be crowned first place in the championship. Insaf stressed the support for student activities to raise the name of the mother university in local and international forums.
