Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University of Baghdad, received in his office at the Presidency of the University, Ambassador Hisham Al-Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Counselor Haider Najeh, Assistant Dean of the Foreign Service Institute.

The meeting discussed possible areas of cooperation with the colleges concerned with the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, especially the colleges of political science, law, and languages, and the possibility of developing curricula for diplomatic courses and promotion research courses for the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its advanced staff, and coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the sober universities in the countries of the world through Iraqi diplomatic missions to open horizons of cooperation with the University of Baghdad.

It was agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the mother university dealing with the issue of providing training and development programs for employees working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, benefiting from the programs offered by the Continuing Education Center at the university, and providing opportunities for professors and students to see the work of the ministry.

It is noteworthy that these meetings contribute to strengthening relations between the University of Baghdad and the ministries of state to see the experiences in these ministries to be a training field for students and teachers at the university.
