A number of professors and researchers from the department of astronomy and space at the college of science has participated in a workshop held by the department of scientific welfare at the ministry of youth and sports, entitled “Baghdad Planetarium Rehabilitation Project” in the presence of a group of specialists in the field of astronomy and space from the ministry of science and technology, astronomers and a number of engineers from the ministry of youth and sports. The workshop aimed to discuss a number of important topics, foremost of which are ways to rehabilitate the planetarium located in Al-Zawraa Park, because of its great importance in the scientific and astronomical fields and monitoring for amateurs, researchers and those interested in this aspect, especially since the dome mentioned is the only scientific edifice in Iraq.
