The Department of Policy and Legislation Research at the Center for Women’s Studies has organized the virtual scientific symposium entitled “The repercussions of Coronvirus Pandemic on Arab Women” with the participation of a number of Arab researchers, chaired by the head of the International Community Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Abeer Najim Abdullah.
This event witnessed the presentation of many research papers, the first is related to “Violence against women in the wake of the Corona crisis” by Assist. Prof. Dr. Wafaa Naeem from Egypt, while the second research was submitted by Dr. Hayat al-Derie from Morocco on “Moroccan women and forms of violence in the time of Corona”, also Prof. Ali Hazazi from Yemen submitted a scientific research entitled “The Coronavirus pandemic and its impact on women in Yemen. Then Dr. Mariam Salman from Egypt discussed the topic of “The repercussions of the Corona pandemic on working women in the Egyptian society”, in addition to the active participation of Assist. Prof. Dr. Saba Hussein Mawla from the Center for Women’s Studies with a research entitled “The repercussions of the Corona crisis on Iraqi Women”.
