The College of Engineering, in coordination with the Continuing Education Unit, held an electronic workshop entitled “Smart cities: definition and how to design” delivered by the lecturer Dr. Anwar Qassim in the presence of the dean of the college Prof. Dr. Saba Jabbar Neima and the assistants dean for administrative and scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Karim Ali and Prof. Dr. Dhiaa Jassim, respectively.
The workshop addressed the topic of smart cities in different countries and the cost of designing them and how to use them in improving awareness, developing skills and increasing employment opportunities for individuals. At the end of the lecture, the dean explained the details of the architectural design of such cities and how to take advantage of all the spaces available in each to serve a clean and environmentally friendly environment.
