The College of Law at the University of Baghdad, in coordination with the Stock Exchange Commission, held a workshop to discuss a bill for this purpose in the presence of the head of the Iraq Stock Exchange Faisal al-Haimis and the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi al-Hilali, with the participation of a number of professors of commercial law and experts in financial market.
The workshop aimed to share academic and practical experiences in order to show the legal and financial problems in the current draft law and the proposal and correct it in order to strengthen the financial work related to the stock market in Iraq and its active contribution to the Iraqi economy. The workshop included keeping up with international and legislative developments related to the branch of activities related to the stock market, and showing the bill in a form that is consistent with international and legislative standards in preparation for its passage in the corridors of the next House of Representatives.
