The college of veterinary medicine has celebrated the 67th anniversary of its founding, in the presence of the rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, and the Adviser to the President of the Republic for National Unity, Dr. Khudair al-Amara. The dean of the college, Dr. Hamid Ali Kazim, delivered a speech at the onset of this event in which he addressed the role of the college in providing the ministries of health, agriculture, environment and others with services that will maintain human health, represented by the control of transitional & common diseases and proper nutrition programs.

The festival also included the screening of a documentary film on the history of the college, as well as many various events in which the students participated in the college of national poems and songs as well as honoring a number of faculty members for their great role in the service of the educational march with the college’s shield. On the sidelines of the festival, an exhibition of scientific productions was opened-up in which the outputs of students and professors were presented, including posters and a range of patents along with sports events sponsored by the Artistic and Sports Activities Unit.
