The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in cooperation with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Baghdad, held the first training course entitled “Clinical Diagnosis and Disease Discrimination” with the participation of veterinarians working in veterinary hospitals from different Iraqi provinces including (Dohuk. Nineveh, Anbar, Basra, Wasit and Muthanna), as well as members of the veterinary department in Baghdad.

The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Hamid Ali Kazim, praised the importance of scientific cooperation between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and FAO through the establishment of courses, seminars and workshops, expressing the college’s willingness to cooperate with the organization and various veterinary organizations and institutions in order to raise the scientific level and increase the expertise of the veterinarian as well as to improve the reality of livestock. Mr. Salah al-Hajj, the FAO representative to the United Nations, stated that he was pleased to hold such training courses and their importance in exchanging experiences, wishing participants a good stay and making serious use of them, thanking the deanship of the college for its cooperation in establishing such courses, which serve the veterinary profession.
