The Maternal and Neonatal Nursing Branch, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Nursing, has organized a workshop entitled “Volunteering: Giving and Solidarity” in the presence of a number of faculty members and students of undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the college and it was presented by the Assist. Prof. Dr. Hawraa Hussein Ghafil.
The workshop opened up with a speech of the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Huda Baqir Hassan, who encouraged students to volunteer in different community initiatives for the common good and the importance of such undertaking in the prosperity of life. Then Mr. Zaid, the President of the Charitable Cooperative Association in Al-Attifiya, talked about a range of volunteer work aimed at encouraging students to engage in charity work, as well as the results of volunteerism on flourishing our communities. The participants then shed light on the relief of displaced persons and how to provide assistance to many needy people in various provinces of Iraq.
