Seminar on Pierre Guichard at the center for heritage revival

The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad has organized a seminar entitled “Pierre Guichard and his book From the Arab conquest to the Reconquest: The Splendour and Fragility of Al-Andalus”, delivered by Prof. Dr. Wijdan Fareeq Inad. Pierre Guichard was known as a French historian, archeologist, medievalist, and academic interested in Andalusian civilization and author of numerous works, where he was born in 1939 and died in 2021, where he had received numerous degrees, including an ATBEZ degree, and studied at The Velázquez House in Madrid, where he was able to train in the use of written sources and archaeology methodologies and studied at the University of Lyon from 1976 to 2004.
