The Mental Health Nursing Branch at the College of Nursing has organized a field visit under the supervision of the lecturer Dr. Ahmed Fleih Hassan for the undergraduate students to Ibn Al-Bitar Center for Cardiac Surgery. The visit aimed to distribute printed health awareness leaflets to patients lying in the hospital’s lounges.
The visit included a field tour of the hospital halls and critical care unit, where students distributed leaflets and printed awareness booklets on myocardial infarction, heart attack, arterial stiffness as well as healthy foods to maintain the safety of the heart and blood vessels. At the end of the visit, patients in the hospital’s lounges expressed their thanks and gratitude to the students and supervisors for their distribution of awareness and health leaflets as well as medical advice on healthy foods that promote the safety of the heart and blood vessels, provide medical advice on therapeutic and nutritional advice and follow up their health to avoid complications caused by their medical condition.
