Prof. Dr. Sabah Qassim Khalaf, the dean of the college of physical education and sports sciences has participated recently in the proceedings of the First International Conference on Graduate Student Research as chairman of the Committee of Deans of the Faculties of Physical Education and Sports Sciences with the participation of graduate students from Iraqi, Arab and foreign countries.
The conference aimed to present and discuss the research of graduate students in various local and international higher education institutions, and to provide a forum for the purpose of exchanging scientific information, experiences and ideas between graduate students, professors and specialists, as well as to stimulate the movement of scientific research and publishing in global journals, where it included three main themes, the first on which is training and sports disciplines; the second session witnessed discussing psychology and sports management, while the third session concerned with the axis of biomechanics and kinetic learning. On the sidelines of the conference, a dialogue on the reality of sports in Iraq with the contribution of the dean of the college with the Captain Raad Hammoudi, President of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee and Dr. Falah al-Qaisi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, as well as deans of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences of the Universities of Mustansiriyah and Maysan.
