Seminar in Commemoration of the Human Rights Day at the Central Library

The Central Library of the University of Baghdad had organized a seminar delivered by the Secretary General of the Central Library, Aida Mustafa Salman, Dr. Abeer al-Khalidi from the Center for Women’s Studies and the Director of Student Activities Dr. Samira Abdul Rasul al-Atabi to commemorate the Human Rights Day and to participate in the 16-day campaign against violence against women. The seminar included the presentation of a historical film and the discussion of methods and types of violence and psychological effects and demanding the need to activate laws and legislation that support women and promote their reality, as well as distribution of awareness leaflets to university students and staff to raise awareness in the fight against violence against women around the world and calls for global action to raise awareness and promote advocacy for such goals.
