Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has presided over the 12th session of the university’s council in the presence of all members. They discussed at the beginning of the session the memorandum concluded by the department of scientific affairs regarding a number of scientific research, as well as some instructions related to the postponement and exceptional extension of postgraduate students, in addition to the application mechanism for postgraduate studies for non-Iraqi scholars in cooperation with the relevant government agencies.
The university’s council also discussed the cases of students enrolled in the academic year (2018-2019), as well as reviewing the mechanisms of the assessment exam for the students of medical disciplines, readiness of the colleges concerned in terms of the preparation of smart halls and other administrative matters related to the exam. The council highlighted the request of the High Committee representing the members of the University of Baghdad (professors and employees) to the ministry of higher education and scientific research on the completion of the project to distribute lands to members of the University of Baghdad and raise this project for approval by the Council of Ministers, after the decision of the Council of Ministers No. 185 of 2021, which excluded these lands from foreign investment.
