Prof. Dr. Saad Abdul Hussein Naji, a faculty member from the department of animal production at the college of agricultural engineering sciences, in partnership with the Assist. lecture Hashim Hadi Dakhil from the college of agriculture at Al-Qasim Green University in Babylon, has obtained a patent from the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control entitled “Improving egg production and the recipes of semen for chickens by feeding based on silage fermented and provided in the form of pellet”.
In this study, the lecturer aimed to ferment fodder and then dry it to transform into feed grains then to be presented to white chicken in order to study the productive performance and quality recipes of the eggshell produced as well as presented to roosters to show its effect in improving their fertility and the qualities of semen. The researcher Hashim Hadi concluded that the fermentation of feed has improved the physical characteristics of fodder, including its PH, total volatile fatty acids and beneficial microbiology in, adding that the process of drying feed increased the ability to transport and store food for longer periods and it also improved the productive performance and quality features of the shell and semen of roosters.
