The Department of Astronomy and Space at the College of Science at the University of Baghdad has organized a seminar on “Studying the linkage between supermassive black holes and the rate of formation of stars” presented by Dr. Yasser Ezzedine Rashid in the presence of a number of students, professors and those interested in the physics.

The workshop aimed to highlight the relationship between supermassive black holes and the rate of formation of active stars and galaxies, one of the most extreme celestial bodies in the universe, as it is very difficult to predict their fate resulting from their high heterogeneity rate, which is divided into Seyfert, Quasars, Radio and Lasers Galaxies. The lecturer talked about how to reach at the best possible understanding of the galaxies whose physical properties should be studied in relation to each other to reach. Also she how the development of these galaxies in this vast universe is happening and the rate of star formation and its relationship to supermassive black unions located in the center of the galaxy and the type of mathematical relationship that will govern this link and the scientific programs used to deal with these data.
