The college of arts at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop on “Drugs and psychotropic substances: a scourge that threatens community security in Iraq” delivered by Ms. Inas Karim, director of the Iraqi Drug-Free Organization, Mr. Haider Hassoon, director of the Iraqi Media Foundation, Dr. Mohammed Jabbar al-Kreizi, director of the Iraqi Public Relations Association, Dr. Khalid Hantoush Sajit the professor of sociology and Dr. Mohammed Waleed Saleh the professor of public relations.
The aim of the workshop was to avoid the use of drugs, which have become the most vivid problems and challenges facing our society, and threaten our families and young people and warn of their collapse, so we must address this scourge by all means, as well as to embody the third goal of sustainable development regarding good health and well-being so as to ensure that everyone enjoys healthy lifestyles. The workshop was attended also by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Sabbar Abood, dean of the college and a number of professors and researchers.
