The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad has organized a workshop for female professors and students of the undergraduate studies entitled “Resistance bands: benefits and uses in sports halls” delivered by the rapporteur of the Team Games Branch the Assist. The workshop aimed to show the concept of resistance bands as a sports tool that likens belts made of latex material of a rubber nature, consisting of two types: flat and resistance bands, pointing to its six colors known to indicate the expression of intensity starting from yellow color with light intensity, then green, red, blue, black and violet, which is the most severe bands of resistance.
She explained that the use of such bands increase the muscle mass of the body, because of its small size and light weight, as well as the possibility of exercising it at home or at rest times at work, its cheap price, the possibility of combining it with weights since they are less dangerous especially for beginners. She noted the best resistance sling exercises, including fly exercise, pressure up, pressure on the chest, bench press, back, shoulders, clenching of the biceps, plexus concentration, triceps muscles, triple-headed muscle extension exercise, squat front, lateral hip, lateral walking, squatting to press over the head, abdominal exercises.
