The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women has organized a qualitative lecture for the female students of the undergraduate studies entitled “Psychological and mental nutrition of tennis players” delivered by the Assist. Lecture Raghada Fouad from the Individual Games Branch.
The lecture aimed to demonstrate the importance of nutrition for the player as one of the essential nutrients and important for growth, one of the most important elements of which is proteins as an important element of muscle building. She even divided the meals eaten by the tennis players into three basic types, the first of which is sports meals represented by daily training meals: energy meal and protein meal which players need daily and immediately after training, the second type is rest day meals and balanced meals that contain all the nutrients, while the third type is championship day meals, which contain a lot of elements of energy variety. At the end of the lecture, a series of advices were provided for the purpose of enjoying healthy physical and mental body, the most important of which is to drink water frequently to get the right mind and body, eating fruits and fresh vegetables, not to neglect breakfast because it is the basis of the human diet, as well as to maintain meals at specified times, except in case of fasting.
